Chris Allchin: Bridging Entrepreneurs Through Collaboration at Allchin Management

Creating successful business partnerships requires more than just matching complementary skills – it demands a willingness to adapt, learn, and sometimes admit when you’re wrong. Through his firm Limitless Global Investments, Chris Allchin has developed a practical framework for collaboration that’s helping business owners overcome their biggest challenges. Drawing from his experience transforming struggling companies into thriving enterprises, Chris shares insights on building partnerships that deliver real value while avoiding common pitfalls that doom many collaborative ventures.

Creating Value Through Strategic Partnerships

Chris has built his business model around solving complex problems through targeted collaboration. “People come to me with a problem and I open the doors to all of my contacts and my people,” he explains. “It might be in marketing, it might be accounting, it could be systems – you name it, I have access and specialists in that space.” His firm offers two distinct paths for business owners seeking help. “I can coach them through it or I can take equity in their business and become a partner,” Chris notes. This flexibility allows him to support companies at different stages while maintaining focus on delivering meaningful solutions.

Understanding the Real Problems

Chris shares a recent example that highlights how experienced business owners often overlook fundamental solutions. “Last week I had a woman call me almost crying. She’s working 90 hours a week and thinking maybe she should sell the business,” he recalls. “It’s making three to four hundred grand a year, there’s money there, and she’s still emptying the bins.” The solution wasn’t selling the business, but rather implementing proper systems and hiring. “All she needs to do is buy back her time through hiring the right people,” Chris explains.

Chris’s understanding of what makes partnerships work comes from both success and failure. He recalls being recruited at the age of 25 to grow a real estate team. “I was poached by a gentleman in the Eastern suburbs in Australia. He said, ‘I want you to come and grow my team,'” Chris remembers. Despite warnings from his previous employer about the owner’s resistance to change, he took the position. The experience proved enlightening. “Everything I tried to implement, every system, everything, he’s like, ‘No, we don’t do it like that here,'” Chris shares. “In the end, I said, ‘Keep your opportunity.’ Sometimes you have to do that with certain people because if they come to you with a problem and they’re not willing to make any changes, they’re going to continue with the same problem.”

Avoiding Common Partnership Pitfalls

When asked what business owners should stop doing, Chris points to micromanagement as a key issue. “Stop getting in your own way. Stop believing that you are the only person that can do the job,” he emphasizes. This mindset often manifests in excessive oversight: “I tell my guys, don’t CC me on stuff. There’s no point me employing you or partnering with you if I don’t trust you.” Creating an environment where people feel safe to make mistakes is crucial. “When someone makes a mistake in my business, I’m like, ‘It’s cool. Look, we learn and grow together,'” Chris says. This approach encourages innovation and growth, though he adds with a laugh, “If you did it five times, maybe that’s a different conversation.”

For entrepreneurs looking to expand their network, Chris offers one final piece of advice: “Just attend events and talk to people. Ask questions. Treat it like a date. Don’t talk about yourself. Ask them questions about them.” Through Limitless Global Investments, Chris continues to demonstrate how effective collaboration can transform businesses and create lasting partnerships. His approach shows that with the right mindset and willingness to change, meaningful business relationships are within reach for any entrepreneur.
